Burnt Umber is a deep, earthy glaze with layered tones of olive green, warm brown and smoky charcoal. Its glossy surface creates subtle variations in colour and depth, with warmer ochre tones emerging around the rim and darker tones settling toward the base. The result is rich and atmospheric, with an organic, mineral quality.
This is a silk-matte glaze that can range from matte to glossy depending on the firing temperature. Designed for Cone 6 firing.
