Inside the Studio

A quiet glimpse into the everyday rhythm of Enaes Maria’s ceramic practice.
Here I share moments from the wheel, experiments, tools, textures, and the small decisions that guide each piece — the parts of the process that rarely make it into the final product photos.

The team

The Enaes studio team consists of me, Maria Enæs, and my current intern Agnes Edda.

Besides that, Enaes studio has a lovely team of members who is a big part of the studio everyday life.

Process Moments

Snapshots from the studio everyday life.

Our days look different every day, either we are throwing, trimming, filling the kiln, recycling clay, packing up orders and of course, lots of cleaning. A clean studio is a happy studio!

Workshops

At Enaes studio we offer various workshops, either you are a beginner or if you have experience.

Some examples of workshops you can sign up for is the evening- and daytime workshop, either with me or Agnes, these are spanning over six- or eight weeks. This is the workshop where you will go through the whole process from throwing to glazing.

There is the weekend workshop, Saturday and Sunday, with focus on throwing.

As well as the teapot workshop where you are guided through making your own teapot, which normally also happens in the weekend.

Then there is the glaze development workshop. The newest addition to the list of workshops. Here you will be introduced to how you can start mixing up your own glaze recipes from scratch.

You will find more information of each workshop when they are scheduled under workshops.

Receive occasional updates from the studio — new work, open workshops, and glimpses into the process.
